„Nouvelle Chanson“ from Cologne. French lyrics incorporating modern as well as traditional elements with a rhythmic and folkloristic, sometimes melancholic but warm sound. The duo consists of Julia Klomfaß, singer and multi-instrumentalist, playing the guitar, musical saw, accordion, mandolin or piano, depending on the content of the song, and Raphael Hansen, singer, guitarist and percussionist. The two have been on stage together since 2009 and only play their own music. The lyrics are in french because Raphael is half-French and the sonorous language matches the mood of their music perfectly. Julia and Raphael are a very experienced and well-rehearsed duo, that fuses together onstage. With around 30 shows a year, they have experienced great and intensive concerts across Europe "toi et moi“ have been under contract with music publisher Calyra since 2017. In November 2019 they signed to „GMO“ label and are going to publish their fourth album, which will be released on February 14th, 2020.
