Founded in 2001, Out The Window Productions, now known as DSA (DSolAudio), was created by brothers Dave and Daniel Rivera. As OTW, and later DSA, they embarked on a musical journey resonating across Manhattan's lower east side and beyond. Dave “D*Sol" Rivera, co-founder and resident DJ, curated collaborative live performances at iconic venues like the Frying Pan, Theater of the New City, Opalines, and Cheetahs. The events, blending music with live painting, art exhibits, and catering from local restaurants, garnered acclaim over five years. Transitioning from event planning, the Rivera brothers entered the music world anew. D*Sol ventured into post-production, graduating with top honors from the Institute of Audio Research in 2003. As Chief Audio Engineer at Sticky Audio Labs, D*Sol's impact is enduring, balancing post-production demands with his passion for producing, remixing, and DJing. D*Sol's sonic prowess has resonated with artists like Andres Levine, Zap Mama, Osunlade, and more. Featured on labels like Yoruba, Wonderwheel, SEED, and Devotion, his releases showcase a diverse musical palette. In 2017, a transformative collaboration with Timmy Regisford led to D*Sol's original tracks and remixes finding a home at Shelter NYC. D*Sol’s journey is a testament to resilience, creativity, and an unwavering commitment to the art of sound.
