Lonesome Town

Untitled (June)

Tallest Oak / Goodnight Little Wrangle...

The Great American Novel

Biography

Tenn Walker Wales is the latest folk-rock project by Atlanta-based actor/writer, Aaron Hale. Influenced by his admiration of seasoned acts like Dawes, Jason Isbell, Avett Brothers, Hale has poured himself out on his debut collection of heart-on-sleeve roots-rock with the grit and vulnerability of a road-worn troubadour with nothing left to lose. After walking away from touring as a singer-songwriter in 2016 to pursue his love for acting and film-writing, Hale found himself with a musical itch that had yet to be fully scratched. Without the burden of “making it” in the music business, he found himself in his spare time writing his best and favorite tunes; songs about his enduring love for his wife and children (“Tallest Oak”), as well as the frustration that comes from living in the tension between the longing to leave a creative legacy and the reality of what it takes to be a fully committed husband and father (“The Great American Novel”), and everywhere in between. Hale is immensely proud of these songs, as well as a couple of cover recordings (“Lonesome Town” by the late, great Ricky Nelson--a hero of Hale’s, and “Goodnight Little Wrangler,” a song he has played for his boys at bedtime since they were born).
