Ma Barker was born Satina Pierce in East New York, Brooklyn. She moved to the Southside of Jamaica, Queens, where she attended the infamous Andrew Jackson High School. By the age of 12 she was battle rapping under the artist name Shaqueen – and eating local MCs up. It wasn’t long before she started recording her self-written songs, catching the attention of the industry. After being courted by multiple record labels, she signed with the budding label Mighty Entertainment, and Shaqueen was officially in the game! Ma continues to hold the crown every time she drops. Her latest single “Kick in the Door” has over a million streams on Spotify. Dusting off the moniker Shaqueen, she was recently featured on “Never Give Up, ” the hot lead single from DJ Kay Slay’s 2021 album The Soul Controller.
