Olwethu Freeman Mthembu, better known by his stage name crownedYung, is a South African hip hop recording artist, songwriter and record producer from Durban, South Africa. He delivers introspective lyrics about his experiences in life, his struggles with his vices and his love life all recorded on various genres of music but most usually Hip-Hop and dark trap instrumentals. He is a member of the collective Select Play. He started writing music when he was 8 years old and only began recording around the time he was 14. He has released a slew of singles and 4 solo projects in total and one collaborative project titled "Blackout" with Lastee.
