Biography

Manlio Maresca, born in 1977, founded "Neo" in 2001 and later "Squartet", with who performed throughout Europe and in 2010 they toured the United States. While in Chicago, he recorded Neoclassico with the sound engineer Steve Albini (Shellac, Pixies, Nirvana, The Ex). In 2006 he collaborated with Steve Piccolo and from 2008 to 2015 with Joe Lally. In 2012 he founded the trio Andymusic, whose debut was accompanying the poet, actor and writer Remo Remotti. In 2016 Andymusic performed at Torino Jazz Fringe Festival, Fano Jazz by the Sea and Urbino Jazz Festival. In 2013 he joined Massimo Nunzi's Operaia Orchestra, collaborating alongside guests such as Gabriele Coen, Fabrizio Bosso, Javier Girotto, Niccolò Fabi, Paolo Fresu, Greg Hutchinson. In 2014 he released “Heavydance” with Andymusic (Auand Records). In 2016 he released “Hardcore Chamber Music” with the quintet Manual For Errors (Auand Records). In 2018 he moved to Berlin, developing a solo project called "Manual for Errors Panic Solo" and collaborating with many musicians of the Berlin scene like Igor Spallati, Ugo Alunni, Eldar Tsalikow, Mikaele Pellegrino. In 2019 he played with "James Chance and the Contortions" and toured Europe. In November 2020 with "Manlio Maresca and Manual for Errors" he released "Noisy Games" by Auand Records with Daniele Tittarelli on alto sax, Francesco Lento on trumpet, Matteo Bortone on double bass, Ivan Liuzzo on drums.
