From a young age Nail developed his musical talents not from going to clubs, but from working in Selectadisc, sadly now closed, a record shop in Nottingham, UK and Pirate Radio. He quickly fell massively for Hip-Hop, and soon began to explore other genres such as Jazz and old soundtracks. Later on, he even dabbled in fame, fame, fatal fame as part of the now 'resting' downbeat duo BENT. Also while working in Selectadisc his mind was being expanded by labels such as Djax-Up-Beats, Peacefrog, Plus 8, UR, Axis, Dance Mania, plus Relief Records, to quote Nail “Working in a record shop you need to know what's going on in more than one area of music.” With such a diverse background his eclectic musical journey has shaped him into the artist he is today.
