Royalty was born and raised in Elora, Ontario, Canada. A small tourist town about an hour west of Toronto. It was there the rapper/singer would begin a journey to become the artist he is now. 
 Originally a nickname given to him in high school by friends that he’d freestyle and write raps with, the moniker Royalty took on new meaning as he would develop his sound. Always ahead of his years in more ways than one, he began taking music seriously at the age of 14. What started out as a hobby had quickly become a passion. 
 “It’s always been so easy for me” he states. “a way that I can express myself with more than just words. I find making music really therapeutic.” 
 Growing up listening and relating to his older brother’s love of Hip Hop, Punk Rock and Metal, his influences connect across many genres and a variety of different artists. With his attraction to the sound and his never ending joy of storytelling, he began writing lyrics and putting them to music. His early years were definitely reserved to a minimal audience but the drive for more was always there. Royalty has a deep soul and draws his music inspiration from compassion and chaos. Often his lyrics are deep thoughts that reflect taboo subjects, human insecurities and alter egos.
