Shea Couleé is an internationally-renowned drag queen, model, actor, singer, and songwriter hailing from Chicago, IL. Her debut album 8, released via her own record label Haus Down Records, is a genre-bending, underground drag-pop dance album that combines R&B, disco, house, and hip-hop with elements of gospel music. Known for her fashion-forward editorial looks, expanding her artistry and brand into many different spaces, and her consistent use of the art of drag, costuming, and music as a medium for larger storytelling, Couleé first rose to fame after finishing a finalist on RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 9, and went on to win All Stars 5. Since beginning her legendary Drag Race tenure six years ago, Couleé has not only flexed her musical chops on the show but has released an EP and multiple singles with video accompaniments receiving critical acclaim, including several videos in rotation on MTV UK. She released her EP Couleé-D in June 2017 which included the smash hit "Cocky," that immediately took off with almost 5 million streams as well as views on Youtube. Since her EP, she has released successful singles like “Rewind,” which premiered via Billboard in 2019, and "Crème Brûlée," which was named Billboard’s “#1 Drag Video of the Year” in 2018.
