Philippe & Gabriel is the name of a self-taught singer-songwriter. During the Covid lockdown period, he initiated a musical project, collaborating online with musicians from around the world. Recording in his home studio, he crafted a intricate musical universe, detached from trends and time, blending multiple cultures. His musical style evokes harmonious dialogues, a jam session involving Michel Berger, Michel Polnareff, Hubert Félix Thiéfaine, and Neil Young. It's as if Benjamin Biolay is having a drink with Jacques Brel, discussing life. with the emotional depth of Cascadeur, Damien Saez, or Sebastien Tellier. His talent lies in crafting evocative sonic landscapes, flirting with cinematic atmospheres, sometimes drawing close to the tones of Mumford & Sons, before delving into African rhythms. His signature multi-harmonious vocal arrangements, which he records and produces himself, are the hallmark of his music. The musical paths of Philippe & Gabriel intersected with that of Roberto Tola, a multi-awarded artist, who co-produced his debut album titled "Les Rivières Folk." Featuring Ombré Zion, a Senegalese artist and Agus Vivo of La Femme d'Argent from Argentina. His second album, "Naufragés," was produced in Malta by Toby Farrugia Production. It reunites the singer Ana Milenaria from Colombia, the Gitano Family band, Alia Fay, Toby Wilson with the warm folk ambiance of his acoustic guitar.
