WENDY, the main vocalist of a K-Pop band Red Velvet, becomes the first member from the group to launch a solo career. Debuted in August 2014 as a member of Red Velvet, she is recognized and loved for her clear tone of voice and superb singing abilities, along with her sweet charms. WENDY has found much international success with multiple hit tracks as a member of Red Velvet, including ‘Ice Cream Cake’, ‘Dumb Dumb’, ‘Russian Roulette’, ‘Rookie’, ‘Red Flavor’, ‘Peek-A-Boo’, ‘Bad Boy’, ‘Power Up’, and ‘Psycho’. The group has swept multiple global charts and received widespread attention for their music spectrum and diverse, creative concepts. WENDY has proven herself as a talented vocalist through participating in many soundtracks, along with collaborations with other major artists including the likes of John Legent and Ricky Martin. WENDY received accolades for her role as the main character in the dubbed version of DreamWorks Animation’s Trolls World Tour. Known also for her sweet and charming personality, WENDY has made several TV show appearances and recently made a successful debut as a main host for a Korean music talk show, Mysterious Record Shop. She releases her first solo album on April 5th, 2021, with 2 title tracks ‘Like Water’ and ‘When This Rain Stops’.
