I’m a London based artist, producer and engineer. Most artists you read about grew up in musical families, but for me, that musicality came from the entire country. I was born in the Caribbean twin islands of Trinidad & Tobago, and if you’ve ever been there during carnival, you’ll understand what I mean. If you haven’t been, visit during carnival for the best experience (plug done lol). Growing up, I was exposed to a wide variety of musical cultures. To me, a good song is a good song, no matter the genre. I started to write music out of a pure desire to get ideas out of my head and manipulate the sounds until they felt like there was a vibe coming out of the speakers. I often explore themes of duality when making music; dark underscore with angelic vocals like “Angel’s Mercy” or punk rock attitudes of defiance with an encouraging sentiment to take a chance like “Let’s Go”. I started writing music for film and television when I lived in Los Angeles. It offered a space where I can avoid being in a genre pigeon hole. I decided to focus on really getting my sonics right and became self-sufficient in the art of mixing and mastering, offering these skills to other musicians. Despite all the genre influences of my youth, my default has always been laid back chill out grooves that can make you dance or just nod your head while talking with friends. I like keeping the energy positive in everything I do, but that’s not to say I ignore the negative. Duality of Reality - my next project.
