Biography

In 1999 Vince formed the "Avant Garden" band. Their music was made up of influences from various styles: jazz, hip hop, funk, R&B and gospel. Vince's first project, "inVINCEble", available on Bugle Boy Music Productions, shows his versatility and range with the funky blues track of the album's title song, the poem set to music, "Sexy Silhouette", and the beautiful ballad entitled, "Barbara". In 2002, Vince met bass player and singer Calvin Whittaker and formed the "Jazz Matrix". The duo put their heads and talents together to complete their first project, "Enter the Jazz Matrix" recorded on Bugle Boy Music Productions. In 2004 "The Jazz Matrix" opened in Chicago for Sting and Annie Lennox and in South Carolina for Brian McKnight, Angie Stone, and Anthony Hamilton. Vince has also been featured with such groups as "Say Yes" and "Nikl Slik". Vince has been featured both as a solo artist, and with "Randy J. and Xpressions Band" at Buddy Guy's Legends in Chicago. The Linger Martini Bar in Oak Forest, IL, Flavor Restaurant in Richton Park, IL, Lee's Unleaded Blues in Chicago, IL, Close Up 2 Contemporary Jazz Club in Chicago, IL, Club LaVue in Chicago Heights, IL, and Wishbone Restaurant in Chicago, IL just to name a few.
