Margaret Brandman is a multi-award-winning established independent composer, performer, and recording artist. Her latest orchestral work GENTLE SUMMER RAIN recorded by the Moravian Philharmonic Orchestra appears on Parma Recordings Multi-Composer album @SYMPHONIC CHRONICALS Vol.2, released on January 5th, 2024. Brandman is recipient of BOTH the 2021 and 2019 ARTEMIS FILM FESTIVAL - BEST FOREIGN COMPOSER awards for her works SPIRIT VISIONS (2021), performed by the Moravian Philharmonic Orchestra on @POLARITIES Vol.2 (nv 6353); and in 2019 FIRESTORM SYMPHONY (III) – ‘All the Trees are Growing’ from her album @SENSATIONS – Wind, Waves, Birds and Fire (nv6041), produced by Parma Recordings. Amongst her celebrated chamber works are the six works on the ‘Binna Burra Dreaming’ EP on the AMBITION LABEL, recorded by ‘cellist Ariel Volovelsky together with composer/pianist Margaret Brandman (piano) and the eight works on her violin and piano album LA VIDA APASIONADA recorded with Vov Dylan. Binna Burra Dreaming achieved Number One position on the Australian Classical and Classical Crossover ARIA charts in 2023. Margaret Brandman's works receive international performances and are aired regularly in Australia on ABC Classic FM, FINE MUSIC in Sydney in addition to many radio stations in America including WCNY (New York)
