Soleil (yes, that is her real name) is a blues/r&b/rock/neo-soul/live freestyle jam kind of gal. She just really loves to sing and immortalize her melodies with the songs she writes. She also enjoys lending emotional backup vocals and harmonies for other local artists, such as queer legend Rich Grandpa (Joby the artist), Snowbanks and GIOVANNI FROM KEPLER-22. • Soleil is the lead singer of the Ottawa-based alternative rock band, Four Eyed Muscle Man (FEMM). FEMM just released their first EP of demos, titled “The Basement Tapes, Volume 1”. They are currently building their track list and playing various shows in Ottawa. • In mid 2023, Soleil released an EP titled “Watchtower” with Toronto rapper Beaugé. Upon sharing their first single, the rap/r&b duo Beaugé Soleil was put on significant Spotify and Apple Music playlists, played once on national radio and got featured in a handful of articles shedding light on new and upcoming artists. Beaugé Soleil spent most of the summer in 2023 doing shows in Ottawa, Montreal and Toronto. Their most memorable show was their last performance together in 2024, at Cranium Festival in Ottawa.
