Born during a pivotal moment when Ghana was going through a political uprising led by JJ Rawlings. Although there was unrest and attempted coups, Ghana was in state of excitable change and growth which was felt during his upbringing in Tema before moving to Cambridge (UK) in the 90s. He began his musical career singing and rapping alongside disc jockeys in nightclubs. Since then he toured across Europe and worked with the likes of Gregory Porter, Martha High, Mousse T, Speedometer, Billy Wooten, China Mosses, Ben l'Oncle Soul, Sarah McKenzie, Miss Kelly Marie, Mo’ Horizons, Ed Meme, Chris Read, Robin Mullarkey, Ben Lamdin (Nostalgia 77) and many more. Myles Sanko recorded and self-released his debut album Born In Black & White in 2013. He then went on to signing a licensing deal with Légère Recordings from Hamburg who released Forever Dreaming in 2014, Just Being Me in 2016, Memories Of Love in 2021 and Live at Philharmonie Luxembourg in 2023. “My intention,” writes Myles, “is to produce music with a feel good vibe and lyrical content that makes my listeners think.”
