Biography

Hailing from Rugby UK, 2u4u is not your average hip-hop group. The group’s OG members, ATMA (prod. Kings of Africa, High School, Drugby) and emcee My Rugema, met in school and clicked over their favourite beats and breaks. Followed by the addition in 2016 of ATMA’s brother, Ranbir (prod. Butter EP, Oh My God!), together they create that hot rap shit.
The release of 2U4U’s first promo single Kings of Africa (Tell Me) piqued interest from music publications Dummy Mag and The 405, while its second release, Home was added to XL Play (XL Recordings), as well as being spun on Reprezent.
2U4U's official single Fall picked up significant traction after being added to the world renowned Spotify Alternative Hip Hop Playlist, before being spun by Jamz Supernova and others across BBC Radio 1/1Xtra.
2U4U's second single, Gurl - premiered by Afropunk alongside the accompanying video debuted by Complex UK - received airplay across BBC Radio 1, alongside being added to Spotify's Fresh Finds.
Butter, the group’s debut EP and sonic blueprint, followed in August 2018. In 2019, 2U4U's song Kings of Africa (Tell Me) was featured in episode 2 of Netflix series TOP BOY Season 3 as executive produced by Drake.
During the lockdown, 2U4U spent its time releasing freestyles, gaining plaudits from the likes of Frankie Stew and Harvey Gunn and Loyle Carner. Having since been back in the studio, 2U4U is gearing for the 2022 release of its second EP, DRUGBY.
