Martin Skalsky is a composer and film maker with Czech and Swiss origin. He finished his studies in contemporary composition at the ZHdK in Zurich in 2006. Martin scored various feature films, TV films, TV series and documentaries, amongst others, i.e. the award winning feature “The Fräulein and the Sandman” by Peter Luisi or “The Forgotten” by Daria Onyshenko. As a composer, Martin has worked for Harry Gregson-Williams in Los Angeles and Henning Lohner, Hybrid Soundsystem, Perry Farrell and Isabel Mundry to name a few. His concert hall works have been performed in various countries, such as the US, Brasil, Germany, Hungary or Switzerland. As a film maker, Martin set ground in 2019 to show his first feature length documentary film “Cody - the dog days are over” to the public. Very well received, the film had its premiere at Zurich Film Festival in 2019 and is onwards traveling around the world. Pre-scheduled start at German Cinemas is 11th June 2020 with Filmwelt Verleih.
