Gisele Castro Afeche is a musicologist graduated from the University of Paris IV – Sorbonne, opera singer (soprano), composer, poet, pianist and harpsichordist. In addition to her musical studies, she holds degrees in English, French, Holistic Therapies and is also a Pastry Chef. She lived in Paris – France for eight years, where he completed his studies in singing with the renowned teacher Odile Pietti, harpsichord with Jacques Frisch, choral conducting with Claire Marchand, musical analysis with Naji Hakim and musical perception (theory and sight reading) in schools such as ENM de Bourg la Reine, CNR de Boulogne and Conservatoire Maurice Ravel. She was professor of music theory and choir conductor at the ENM de Bourg-la-Reine and assistant conductor at the maîtrise Notre Dame de Paris. She sang in renowned choirs in France. She graduated from the University of Westminster in London as Master in Arts in Audio Production in 2017. In 2021 she became a member of The Brazilian Academy of Music. She has released an album and some singles since 2015, including her album Mosaicos. She is a voting member of the Latin Grammy Awards, a Commander in Music by the Brazilian Government and she became a member of the Brazilian Music Academy.
