Sophie Villy is a Georgian/Ukrainian artist, singer-songwriter, composer and producer, whose discography contains three LP albums and several international movie soundtracks, selected for Cannes Festival Shorts, winning "Best Original Music” at several European Film Festivals. Her music, which is floating mostly around Trip Hop, Alternative Rock, Blues and Electronica, is well known for music lovers of BBC 2, KEXP, KCRW, the British Guardian listed her in the list of “must listen new artists from around the world”. Sophie fled Tbilisi after Russo-Georgian war in 2008 and moved to her motherland - Kyiv, where she started her musical career at the age of 18. Sophie won “Best New Artist” at “Phoenix Music Awards” in Tbilisi and was nominated for “Best artist” on Electronauts 2017. After successful tours in the US and Europe, Album “Dress” won Album of the Year in Ukraine. She stayed and worked on a new material for her latest album for a couple of years in NY and LA. In 2018 Sophie founded a creative exploration studio for children, called SOULSCOPE, which is a free, happy space for those who aspire for self-discovery, joyful learning and creative thinking through the magic of Music and Art. Her latest works “What Can Be Worse” and “Blackout" have been dedicated to bravest people of Ukraine, going through the darkest times.
