Emma Miller serves up her own brand of angelic indie-folk, filling you to burst with velvety vocals, poignant lyricism and expansive, cinematic production. Happiest at her piano conjuring new melodies and examining the existential questions that are threaded throughout her music, she’s travelled a long way from her small hometown in northeast Scotland. Her debut single ‘Burning Out’, produced by Sam Welch and India Bourne (Ben Howard band, Tender Central) was self released in 2017 and picked up by BBC 6 Music. In 2020, Miller revealed her first EP ‘Set Me Down’ which was championed by ‘The Roddy Hart Show’ added to Spotify editorial playlists and lauded by the likes of Clash and Wonderland magazine for her mature songwriting. Moving to Edinburgh in 2021 and cooped up in her flat over various lockdowns, Emma was introduced to a new music scene taking root online. She found herself taking to Twitter each evening to perform her songs to new listeners across the world. Through this new community of supporters Emma built up a series of successful releases of her music on the blockchain. Her recent homecoming show at Gordon Castle Estate saw supporters fly in from as far as Hawaii, Germany, Romania, across the USA and of course locals returning to see her take to the stage. Today Miller is set to release her next EP based on her blockchain project of the same name, 'Artifacts' (which remains the UK’s largest collection of Music NFTs). Out on October 23rd and on vinyl.
