Paul Tamba Kpakiwa aka Knoxx was born in Sierra Leone. His parents and 6 siblings escaped the atrocious decades-long civil war and fled to the United States when Knoxx was only 7 years old. His family moved to a rough inner-city neighborhood in Harrisburg, PA and this is where his dreams began. At 15 years old, Knoxx began to write music. By living in a poverty-stricken neighborhood, yet attending a private Catholic school, he has grown to become a man who can speak with the privileged and walk with those who struggle. Being able to rise above your struggles and never stop chasing your dreams is the message Knoxx wants to pass along to his listeners.
