Biography

Lucas Herrera is a 36-year-old pianist, composer and professor born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina. As a professional musician he has participated in a wide variety of musical and stage projects, but with a strong dedication to the Jazz culture. He currently develop himself as pianist and band leader of jazz quartets for Norwegian Cruise Lines, while also leading his own original music groups which has released their first album entitles “Un punto azul pálido” (2015) and "Puerto itinerante" (2023). This second and brand new album brings 9 original compositions who refresh the vision of traditional instrumental jazz music with a personal inner based in Buenos Aires music roots. He also composes music for documentary films like the Original Sound Scoring for "Los visuales" (documentary series, Channel Encuentro TDA, for Argentinian Television in 2016-2017) and wrote and perform contemporary music for art exhibitions in the Museum of Modern Art of the City of Buenos Aires (MAMBA) and in the National Museum of Fine Arts (MNBA) for León Ferrari and Pablo Picasso exhibitions with Juan Cristobal Sleigh. www.lucasherrera.com
