Ian Mast is a 23-year old producer, singer/songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist from Tucson, Arizona. Ian started making electronic music in 2019 as Cat Dad, but after discovering he was sharing the name with another musician, he decided to begin using his real name. After finalizing a Bachelors in Music Performance (Percussion) from the University of Arizona, Ian sought out a Masters of Science in Music Technology from IUPUI in Indianapolis. He is currently pursuing a career in Music Technology Education while making beats and teaching courses on the side. Without a definitive genre track, Ian enjoys making music that spans a variety of genres rather than creating the same musical vibe each time. Funk, pop, and electronic music tend to be a main focus area as he was inspired in his youth by artists like Earth Wind & Fire, TWRP, CG5, and The Living Tombstone. Recent tracks, such as “Little Saguaro,” “Monsoon,” and “Feel Alive”, all feature different genres to be explored and enjoyed.
