Biography

As a pair, Bookz & Twin began their discography with UntilNextYear, collaborating with city acts like Ali and LbTra. Fast forward to 2021, the twins solidified that their artistry and music was more than a hobby but a way of life in Zack & Cody. In their deluxe, they brought city acts like frequent-collaborator and producer CA$HE, fellow FFE-member StaxXx, and brother Almoney in Star’s Sons. You can hear this same collaborative nature but at its purest and most cohesive form in Mario & Luigi: The Mixtape. The twins have an ear for the perfect feature, which is heard on cloudy-yet-punching SIMS with Luther Suede, Mario Kart, & Twisted Metal. Even with Gem City MCs accompanying them, the twins show on songs like “Mortal Kombat”, the project-titled, crowd favorite single Mario & Luigi, and 2K show you that they can carry a project all on their own. In Mario & Luigi, you see the twins taking on multiple sub-genres in Rap with a different flow, cadence, and heavy-hitting metaphors over creative instrumentals. Even spending over a year performing nearly every month, the twins never stopped working. In their best work yet to date, take a look through what feels like looking through an old box of PlayStation games in Mario & Luigi: The Mixtape. In it, you’ll see that the twins work through what feels like a multiplayer experience, where you’re bound to win every time like them.
