MARCO TRABUCCO (bass guitar, acoustic bass guitar, double bass) Double bass and electric bass player gifted with a delicate and melodic touch, Marco Trabucco graduated with honours from the Tartini Conservatoire in Trieste, studying with Maestro Glauco Venier and specialising in jazz music. He also ventured into other genres such as blues, gospel, funky and rock, while engaging in an intense jazz performing activity with leading groups and ensembles. In 2011 he undertook the study of the double bass with Curtis Lundy and Mark Abrams. In 2014 he enrolled in the two year postgraduate jazz diploma at the Steffani Conservatoire in Castelfranco, where he furthered his study of the double bass under the guidance of Salvatore Maiore. With his drummer brother Max, he founded the Trabucco Bros, a project that produced the cd Orchestra, an outstanding showcase of their personal take on jazz; and the equally interesting Oirtrio ensemble, including the guest performance of German jazz wind player Klaus Gesing. He completed his education with a degree in Artistic and Performing Techniques from the University of Ca’ Foscari in Venice. (from “Il dizionario del jazz italiano” – F. Caprera, Universale Economia Saggi Feltrinelli)
