Britain’s Rebecca Ferguson, born in Liverpool in 1986, is a soulful jazz and R&B influenced singer/songwriter who came to prominence when finishing runner up in the TV hit show, X-Factor (2010). Ferguson, well renowned for her unique, crisp, husky vocals - is a notable songwriter who has co-written four top ten solo albums: Heaven, Freedom, Lady Sings the Blues and Superwoman. ‘Heaven’, released in 2011, sold over 130,000 copies in its first week, making it the fastest-selling debut album by a solo artist that decade, between 2007 – 2017. With singles such as ‘Glitter & Gold’, ‘I Hope’, and ‘Nothing’s Real but Love’, she has been lauded by critics, with The Telegraph declaring her ‘The same league as Aretha Franklin’, and The Guardian stating that ‘Her talent is undeniable’; whilst Ferguson has also been nominated for MOBO and MTV Europe Music Awards. As well as writing and performing her own material, Ferguson regularly writes for other artists and has grown a reputation for being a well-respected ‘top liner’ in the song writing world. Ferguson has shared the stage worldwide with incredible names such as Lionel Richie, Andrea Bocelli, Nile Rodgers and the late Burt Bacharach. In mid 2023, Ferguson announced the planned release of ‘Heaven Part II on 5th December 2023’ – what she described as ‘her fifth and final album’.
