GetRightSour is a South Jersey-based recording artist, residing in the town of Pennsauken for most of his life. With less than 1 mile separating Pennsauken from one of the Eastcoast’s most notorious cities, Camden, NJ, Sour and his family have spent just as much if not more time there as his hometown. Formerly known as Sour Dee, which was inspired by his first name Denair and the strain of cannabis, he eventually decided to change his name to "GetRightSour." The new alias came from the motto, “get right or get left,” which serves as a constant reminder to Sour to keep pushing forward. Though he first began writing raps in 2010, GetRightSour did not begin recording seriously until 2013 because he wasn’t sure if music was the path for him. GetRightSour has released dozens of music videos over the years, a standout being “Pressure” which features 2 Chainz protege, Skooly. With his raw, melodic sound, GetRightSour is gradually showing critics his versatility. Whether he’s writing love songs even the most stoic hustlers can relate to, or catchy, club-ready anthems, Sour is catching buzz, and on a mission to get all he’s ever wanted.
