Fridrik Karlsson has been a professional musician since the age of sixteen. He completed a degree in Classical and Jazz music and had his first international success with the group Mezzoforte in 1983 with the U.K. top 10 hit, Garden Party. Fridrik moved to England in 1996 from his native Iceland and has since been involved in various projects including guitar work on the movie Evita (featuring Madonna) the Musicals: Jesus Christ Superstar and Saturday Night Fever. His TV work includes accompanying world famous singers and artists, such as Madonna,Jose Carreras,Jamoriquay,Marty Pellow,Ronan Keating,Tom Jones and Fridrik was also residence guitarist for the T.V show X-factor(hosted by Simon Cowell). Fridrik has appeared on various albums and singles including, Jose Carreras, Ronan Keating, Sheryl Crow,Will Young, Clay Atkin, Kelly Clarkson , Cat Stevens,10 Tenors, Joe MCaldery and Ildivo. Concerts include Jesus Christ Superstar Stadium tour 2012 and Kate Bush Before the Dawn concerts in Hammermsith Odeon in 2014. Fridrik has studied various relaxation techniques including: Indian Ayurvedic science, Yoga, Reiki, ancient Hawaian Huna and other self-development methods and created the music label ‘The Feel Good Music Collection’ that totals 16 albums to date. He is also still an active member of Mezzoforte.
