Leon Demaria is a Reggae, Dub and Raggamuffin singer/musician of Argentinean origin based in Spain for almost two decades. His biggest influences are the artists of the golden era of Roots and Rub-a-Dub music like Dennis Brown, Mykal Rose and Barrington Levy to name a few. He is also nurtured by the artistic and cultural essence of the tribal and indigenous people of the world. In 2016, after being musically active in several bands from Barcelona, he decided to start his solo career with the release of his first LP called, “The Roarin’ Lion”, produced by the recognized label La Panchita Records. This album allowed him to be discovered by the Spanish national scene, capturing the attention of different producers like Capra Records, with whom he composed the song "Rasta Move", which was edited in vinyl format. This song had a great impact on the Dub music scene, becoming his first hit, selling out all its copies and being played by legendary Sound Systems crews such as Channel One. In 2018, he took an inspirational trip to Jamaica, and there he recorded the song “Kingston Town”, featuring the distinguished Jamaican singer and TV personality Sanjay. After many years of concerts and tours, as well as numerous releases in vinyl and digital formats, he is currently working on his new songs with international collaborations that will be coming up shortly.
