Before the internet and social media, even before you could hear Hip Hop on Australian radio, Dru Blast (f.k.a. Mr Clean) established himself as a fierce lyricist within the AUS Hip Hop scene. Having spent the best part of 20 years practicing and perfecting his art form, Dru Blast has been blessed with opportunities to work alongside internationally acclaimed producers including P-Money (NZ) Beat Butcha (UK), Chasm (Astronomy Class), Sereck (Def Wish Cast) and Katalyst (Quakers / Stones Throw). He has shared stages with the likes of Hip Hop legends including Big Daddy Kane, R.A. the Rugged Man, Celph Titled, Masta Ace and more. He’s also performed at AUS based festivals including Good Vibes & Days Like This. Now in 2021, Dru Blast returns with his latest offering, Out Of The Red, a project that stems from his connection to Jazz & other grassroots music that helped make Hip Hop what it is today. Out of The Red also features guests verses from local lyracists including Likle Gzus, Ello C, and Nelson Dialect.
