Born Luis Martin Garcia in 1997, the Chicago born artist grew up playing Baseball, Basketball, and Football, turning to rap after his playing days were over. Influenced by Toronto and Chicago drill music by artist like Drake and Lil Bibby, Garcia began recording as Louie Martin, a moniker derived from his childhood nickname and his middle name. His early tracks were posted online, leading up to his 2019 exclusive singles Produced by Michael Menefee, the duo debuted the singles "No New Friends" and "They Always Come Back."
