Samuel Okorie Jr, better known by the mononym SoJay is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, producer and software developer from Nigeria. He discovered his singing abilities at age 14, after being a member of a local acapela group in Port-Harcourt. 
 SoJay’s music is R&B, with a blend of Nigerian languages and occasionally a display of his ability to blend with Hip-Hop while still maintaining a production of songs that evoke emotions and vary in subject matters that revolve around the highs and lows of love, life and relationships. 
 SoJay cited Usher, Boyz II Men and Ne-Yo as his biggest influences. He described their music as "timeless", calling them "true musician-artists“.
