Dhahabu is a female Kenyan singer / song writer. Her sound is influenced by RnB, Soul and HipHop. She has been around music all her life having grown up performing in church at a very young age and later on having an Acappella group in high school. She was raised in a musical environment where her parents always sung old hymns in her native language Kamba and to date still do. She has incorporated the language in her music to celebrate her roots. Her music is a fusion of Afro pop and RnB. She uses music to communicate love, joy, encouragement and whatever human emotions we all experience from time to time.
