Thinesh "Mista Carey" Sinnian's album "Ithu Chumma Trailer" alongside the collective S.L.Y Squad was a top seller in 2012, propelled by the global hit song "Inni Vendham". Before his mainstream breakthrough, he became a household name in the underground Tamil Hip Hop scene, thanks to his self distributed "CareyLin". Although it didn't get commercial airplay, his "Chellam Neeye" was a hit , as was his earlier "Penne Penne Kanne Kanne". But it was "Ithu Chumma Trailer", with it's R&B genre driven tracks and the collective's stage presence that made him and S.L.Y Squad, a phenomenon among the Tamil listeners throughout Malaysia. His second album, 2016's Ithu Chumma Trailer II and multiple features that came through before that cemented Mista Carey's position as a rapper with his own distinctive style and wordplay. Fast forward to 2021, Pridemachi Entertainment got established, a brainchild of Mista Carey. It was created to propel talents of same minded to the heights of Tamil Hip Hop. "Pridemachi" which indirectly translates to proudness and greatness is something that Mista Carey and his artistes vows to achieve with their releases.
