Beat Movement is a duo based in Berlin composed by Mattia Prete & Simone Scardino. In the beginning of their musical journey their style was heavily inspired by the sound of the 90s with fast grooves made for the dancefloor. The decision to open up to new and more abstract electronic experiments was quickly made when they moved from Rome to Berlin one year ago. Aside from producing and djing, the young duo manages two music labels that are respectively specialised in techno and electronic jazz. Their work, label and productions reflect musical diversity with plentiful support from well known and respected artists within the scene like: Oscar Mulero, Ben Sims, Blawan, Endlec, Umwelt, Sunil Sharpe, Dj Pete, Sleeparchive, Dave Clarke, Tensal, Detroit Techno Militia and many more. Their objective is always to be in progress and to avoid staying with one certain sound for a long time.
