Biography

Diana Angulo is a professional classical-trained Mexican musician. She started playing the piano publicly at the age of 9. She decided to dedicate to music after working as the Director of the 'Benemerito de las Americas' Orchestra at the age of 18. She started her Music degree in the 'Benemerita Universidad Autonoma de Puebla.' She became the Choir Director for the Institute of Religion Valsequillo and got to tour in Puebla and Mexico City 2011-2013. In 2012, she performed in the Metropolitan Auditorium of Puebla as the Choir & Orchestra Conductor of a play presenting the life of Jesus Christ. She serve a full-time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Mexico City 2013-2015. In 2016, she got a scholarship to study in Brigham Young University-Idaho in the United States. As a student, she worked as a pianist for 'Chamber Singers' and 'Vocal Affinity' Choirs under the direction of David Torres from 2016-2019, performing in various events for the city of Rexburg and the University. She's worked in lyrics translation since 2011. In 2015, she worked with the American composer Cathy Neff to translate her Christmas album "Keeping Christ in Christmas" from English to Spanish in 2015. She's currently working on music of translations she's made and to release original music as well. She is also a pianist for her alma mater BYUI and has a Music History Youtube Channel (Diana Angulo).
