Henderson-based hip-hop artist 2FLY KNG (formerly known as thekiddkhalil) has been penning rhymes since the age of 9. 
 Growing up in a household where music was always played throughout the day, he was opened to many different styles and sounds very early, which contributed to his love of music at a young age. 
 After losing his father – who was also an emcee – at the age of 8, KNG was inspired even more to explore the world of hip-hop and begin writing songs of his own. 
 A well-rounded musician and producer, KNG’s style includes elements of jazz and neo-soul, while still remaining true to hip-hop in its purest form. His debut album, Heart & Soul, was released on August 16, 2019. His laid-back cadence and inspirational lyricism mesh together smoothly to give listeners a sort of nostalgic feel in his raps. 
 KNG draws inspiration from artists like Andre’ 3000, Kendrick Lamar, and Phonte. In the future, listeners can expect to watch KNG grow artistically, venturing out into different facets of hip-hop while still providing the smoothest of vibes.
