Jay Godí is an Alternative R&B artist. He is a self taught songwriter, producer, and entertainer. Jay is a latino gay male born in Sacramento California on July 1995, he began learning music at the age of 10 when he was given an old keyboard by his uncle.It wasn't until he was 15 that he decided he wanted to learn how to sing and began his journey to becoming an artist. Through his teens as he battled depression, but learning to sing kept him busy and focused on the bigger picture, through it he discovered that he wasn’t bad at creating melodies and writing songs so he spent majority of his time learning composition and how to become an artist. It was a way to help with his depression, being a closeted gay latino was never easy so music was the only way he could escape and grow. He gets inspiration from Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter whose career inspired him to work harder and become more than just an entertainer. Jay Godí will continue to achieve his goals and rise in the music industry by becoming a household name and sharing his full story to inspire others and help those in need. He is here to stay. His first mixtape titled "You Don't Know Me" released on May 1st, 2020 is a window to Jay Godí's mind, pain, and soul. The intro track "No, No..." let's you know he is giving his all to you with this project and he's not holding back. "You Don't Know Me" is a collection of tracks that defined a special time in Jay's life and growth.
