Bear Garden is a musical expression, neither more nor less. It´s music - it´s everything. Martin Wirén, the man behind the artist Bear Garden, is a multi-awarded composer and saxophonist with scholarships from, among others, STIM and the Royal Academy of Music. Wirén was born in Gällivare in northern Sweden and was early introduced to the instrument that would become his signature, the saxophone. After spending nearly a decade in the family garage practicing his instrument, he later moved to Stockholm to study at the Royal Academy of Music. At this point, Wirén began composing what would become his first album. Influenced by the uncompromising nature around his hometown and with a quest to push the boundaries of what a saxophone can achieve, Bear Garden's self-titled debut album emerged. The album was released in November 2019 and laid the foundation for Bear Gardens' musical expression. Genre-crossing compositions, atmospheric soundscapes and an uncompromising drive forward have become Bear Gardens' signature. The critically acclaimed album Sunshine Fruit, which came out in February 2021, is no exception. New upcoming album "Up" will be released as "Part 1" November 3, 2023
