Born Alex Anthony Harris on July 20,1998, Pink Boss is the first of five children for his mother who was a business woman, and his father an taxi operator. Orginally from the Irish Pen Area in Spanish Town St. Catherine. 
 Pink Boss attended the Eltham High School where he had the misfortune of being expelled (for keeping "bad company") while in the 5th form. It was from as far back as 2002, while still attending Eltham High , that Pink Boss special love for music began. After watching a tape of Sting 1993 with the infamous clash between Beenie Man and Bounty Killer "Pink Boss" immediately got his mind set on becoming a deejay. Soon after watching the Sting 1993 tape, he began re-enacting the clash for classmates and friends, many of whom recognised his talent from as far as back then. He started writing his own lyrics. After being expelled, he went on to learn a skill at a small welding institution and started working as an apprentice welder. While working at the institution for almost three years he always finds the time to sing and write songs, he was encouraged by his mentor to take his music career seriously and get it going; he did just that. He met Smokey Hype and recorded his first single "Nah Laugh" in November 2008 on smokey's Spanish Mob label. Soon after , he began working with Delroy Graham of Homeless Production, and in early 2009 he became a popular performer at a weekly event called "Bomb Squad Fridaze" where he got some recognition.
