Shira Golan is an Jewish soul singer and creator who dedicates her musical work to fostering connection and peace between the peoples of the Middle East and the entire world. Shira sings in Hebrew, Arabic and English, and initiates multicultural prayer and sacred music gatherings for both Arab and Jewish audiences Her music serves as a global remedy, bridging East and West and connecting worlds. Shira grew up in a mixed secular household, with a Libyan father and a Polish mother. In her family home, Hebrew, Arabic, Yiddish, and Polish were spoken simultaneously, leading to cultural conflicts that sparked her passion for creating harmony between cultures and bridging divides both at home and in society. Over the years, singing has not only been a form of expression for Shira but has also become a channel for healing and connecting to her soul and spiritual path. Shira’s yearning for unity and her love for Arab culture led her to delve deeply into studying classical Arabic singing and the theory of Maqam. She collaborates with singers and artists from the Arab community and spiritual leaders from all religions, performs with organizations such as "Women Wage Peace" and "Women of the Sun," and is active in events promoting partnership and equality between Israelis and Palestinians.
