Born in Atlanta Georgia's Downtown area (Zone 5), j shiest grew up listening to trap music. He idolized artists like Lil Baby, Young Thug, Gunna, Pooh Shiesty, Gucci Mane & others. Even though he took a liking to trap music, he didn't really want to rap. "Im into basketball i ain't worried bout it, i ain't really even into rapping" the artist states on his track "Alright", he wanted to fall into his fathers footsteps in the sport of Basketball. When asked why he finally chose to rap, he responds with " I was blessed with a gift. Who am I to decline a gift from the man upstairs (God)?" He dove in and here he is now.
