Biography

PhreDdy M. is a Mexican self-produced, songwriter, guitar player, and beatmaker living in Seoul, South Korea. When he was 13 years old he started into music by playing guitar and electric bass. He was inspired by cousins who played in a rock band, and an uncle who was a bolero musician. He learned classical guitar during the middle school and high school. In 2010, his solo project "PhreDdy M." began. It is hard to associate PhreDdy M. with a specific music style due to his active transition through several music genres. From Techno in his early solo career, to Hip-Hop, Trap, Synthwave, Funk, Cumbia, Reggaetón, Ballad, Son, Ranchera, etc. Despite his versatility, any song he makes his personality, and his peculiar signature sound can always be recognized. PhreDdy M. has worked with several artists from around the world, such as Daichi Yamamoto (Japan), Teeam Revolver, Neto Peña (Mexico), the master of son jarocho Ramon Gutierrez Hernandez and founder of Son De Madera (Mexico), the rappers Mckdaddy (South Korea), Bruno Champman (South Korea), with the Lo-fi beatmaker Chopef (Indonesia), and with the pioneer of South American stylish music in South Korea DON MARCO, etc. Also, he has done official remixes for the pop singer or "Korean Madonna" Kim Wan-sun (South Korea). Currently, PhreDdy M. is in his mature stage of his career, yet exploring new possibilities of sounds that goes beyond multiple music styles.
