Imani Basquiat is an Alternative Soul artist born and bred in Pretoria, South Africa, signed to independent record label, Forgotten Soul. Imani prides himself in being dynamic in sound, and fluent in experimentation. Through this he has created his own genre called Neo-Hop, a blend of the hypnotic sounds of Soul, Funk and R&B with a modern approach of alternative Hip hop, Indie and Trap which leaves his listeners with an irresistible nostalgic feel. - Imani is an innovative young man who is always looking to push the boundary and go left when the world is going right.
