Nasty-Nes Calling from Los Angeles

I Need a Bang'er

Biography

GrandMixer GMS first touched the turntables as an 11-year-old breakdancer, and by 14, he became the first DJ to mix for commercial radio in Spokane, Washington. Inspired by pioneering radio “mastermixers” and Hip-Hop turntablists, GMS perfected his skills in mastermixing and turntable wizardry. This dedication earned him the inaugural Inland Northwest Battle of the DJs championship. He went on to mix for West Coast radio legend Nasty-Nes and remix for former Eazy E artist Tairrie B. GMS's talent has been showcased on Eminem’s Shade 45 channel for "Sway in the Morning," and he has twice graced the cover of Los Angeles-based "Pump It Up Magazine." GMS was voted “DJ of the Week” by both The Urban Influencer and Radio Airplay Experts and he won the 2024 “West Coast Radio Mixer of the Year”. Unlike many DJs who blend 10 to 20 records per set, GMS mixes 70 to 100 songs per hour across multiple genres providing an exciting listening experience while honoring his Hip-Hop roots and the great DJs who paved the way. Beyond music, GMS is a Philomath, animal lover, and MMA student. GMS recently decided to begin releasing music he and his cousin have produced over the years to assist radio mixshow and club DJs for quick transitions and to provide short, impactful music to break the monotony of today's busy world. GMS can be heard in the mix on Seattle's c89.5-FM, KYRS, and his syndicated mixshow, "Global Frequency" on KPIU Radio (Los Angeles), and Rebel 107.9 on iHeartRadio.
