Biography

Bloch received his education at the Warsaw Conservatory and became the music consultant to the Polish Radio Theatre in Warsaw in 1954. He has been awarded many prizes for his work, including the Polish Ministry of Culture Prize in 1971. Initally a neo-classical composer, in 1963 Bloch turned to a more relaxed style, sometimes adopting noise-type sonorities. He also experimented with palindromic forms, as in the composition =Enfiando=.
