Immersed in music from a young age, 23 year old Brighton born singer and songwriter Orla Rae takes inspiration from the likes of Stevie Wonder, Jazmine Sullivan, Cleo Sol, Brandy and Victoria Monét, blending R&B, soul and pop with powerful vocal runs, intricate harmonies and a genuine passion for storytelling. Having recently supported artists such as Sophie Faith , IYAMAH and singing for the Grammy Award Winning Jazz duo, Blue Lab Beats on their EU tour, Orla has recently been championed by BBC Radio 1Xtra, securing a spot on the 1xtra playlist and being named as 1xtra’s introducing ‘Track of the Week’ with her latest release, richest girl.
