A 3-piece band from Wichita, KS, Steal the Sun is built on a foundation of heavy instruments and melodic vocals. Formed in 2019 by lead singer/guitarist John Smith, Steal the Sun has since developed into a powerful Midwest rock and roll trio racking up direct support credits with multi-platinum selling rock bands Saving Abel and Hinder, along with hard rockers Otherwise and Texas Hippie Coalition. Steal the Sun is inspired by bands like Alter Bridge, Chevelle, and Shinedown. The latest release, a 6-song self-titled EP, captures the quintessential sound of the band with soaring, melodic vocals, pounding guitar riffs, and catchy grooves that'll make your head nod. In 2021, the band released a cover of Drake's "Teenage Fever", with semi-acoustic earworm of the rapper's hit all tracked in a single day. Members: John P. Smith - Vocals/Lead Guitar Blake Ellis - Bass Tripp Waters - Drums
