Hailing from the north west town of Crewe, Illicit has been putting his name on the region’s talent radar for almost a decade - an artist who is recognised for his wordplays and none the least his versatility. In recent years he has refined his sound and was soon given his flowers when he became winner of the 2018 ‘RunTheMic’ competition, releasing his winning single ‘Involved’ via Warner Music - premiered on BBC 1Xtra by Twin B. Illicit is a member of the collective ‘Grime of the Earth’, a group offering a creative breath of fresh air for the North West scene. Through the years Illicit has performed at an array of events, with acclaimed names such as: Blizzard, Sox, Ghetts, Lethal Bizzle, Ed Sheeran, Ard Adz & more.
